Below you can read the answers to the most frequently asked questions about the printing process.

What is an EPS file?

An EPS file is a file which is constructed in Adobe Illustrator or a similar vector based file. A suitable EPS file is constructed with vectors; you can read more about vectors in “Vector versus Pixels”. Please note that an EPS file can also contain pixel based images, which are not suitable for several printing techniques!

I only want to print a text, is that possible?

Of course! If you want the product to be printed with solely a text, then you can specify that when placing your order. You can also choose a desired font. Your options will be displayed in your virtual shopping cart. Please specify the desired font and printing colour, then we will print this text for you free of charge.

What are PMS colours?

PMS stands for Pantone Matching System. This is a global colour system. For example, PMS 485 is the exact same red colour all over the world. Besides that, the PMS system is also a guide to mixing ink. When placing your order you will be asked to choose a PMS number.

What is a proof?

With every printing order you will receive a proof by e-mail. A proof is a digital representation of what your product will look like. This will enable you to check the colour, the print format and the print position. The actual production will not start until after you have given a written approval of the proof.
